VonnJames Rottweilers — Breeding the Next Generation of Confident Guardians & Devoted Family Companions

Our Story

VonnJames Rottweilers began as a single Rottie puppy that changed two lives. After volunteering with search‑and‑rescue dogs in college, our founders—lifelong dog lovers and married business partners—brought home a stout little German import named “Vonn.” His intelligence, courage, and tender loyalty inspired years of study under ADRK mentors in Stuttgart, internships with board‑certified theriogenologists, and countless miles spent ringside at European Sieger shows. In 2012 we put those lessons into practice on U.S. soil, whelping our first litter of world‑class, health‑tested Rottweilers. Today, families and working‑dog handlers across America trust VonnJames when they want the very best.

Our Mission

To preserve the historical working ability, structural soundness, and steady temperament of the Rottweiler while enriching the lives of dogs, owners, and communities nationwide.

Core Values

  1. Health Is Non‑Negotiable — Every breeding prospect must clear OFA/FCI hips, elbows, heart, eyes, and DNA panels for JLPP and other inherited conditions.

  2. Temperament Above All — Only stable, people‑oriented adults with proven confidence in crowded rings, busy farmyards, and family living rooms make it into our program.

  3. Total Transparency — Live‑streamed whelpings, public test results, and lifetime breeder support are not “extras”; they are our standard.

  4. Lifetime Responsibility — We will accept the return of any dog we produce, at any age, for any reason—no judgment, ever.

  5. Community Stewardship — A fixed percentage of every sale funds free spay/neuter clinics and K‑9 donations to U.S. police departments and veteran‑support organizations.

Our Facilities

  • Home‑Based Whelping: Litters are born in our dedicated, climate‑controlled puppy room attached to our family living space—never in isolation.

  • 1‑Acre Puppy Playground: Safe outdoor agility and confidence‑building stations, plus sensory tubs (sand, water, turf) for early neurological stimulation (ENS).

  • On‑Site Training Barn: 2,500‑sq‑ft indoor arena with regulation obedience jumps, IPO equipment, and climate control for year‑round socialization classes.

  • Bio‑Secure Protocols: Visitors change into provided footwear, and surfaces are sanitized between kennel tours to safeguard vulnerable puppies.

Our Process, Litter to Leash

  1. Selective Pairing – We map pedigrees three generations deep, balancing type, drive, and genetic diversity (COI < 6 %).

  2. Pregnancy Care – Expectant dams receive prenatal ultrasound, custom nutrition plans, and daily stamina walks.

  3. First Eight Weeks – Puppies undergo ENS days 3–16, follow the Puppy Culture™ curriculum, and start crate/potty training at week 6.

  4. Comprehensive Vet Exam – At 7½ weeks each pup receives a health certificate, microchip, first vaccines, and fecal panel.

  5. Temperament Testing & Match Day – Using the Volhard PAT and our own observations, we pair pups with owners whose lifestyles and goals align.

  6. Departure & Lifetime Support – New families receive an AKC registration packet, 30‑month hip/elbow guarantee, starter kit, and our direct number for any question—day or night.
